We built Hotelicopter because finding a genuinely good place to stay is harder than it should be. Most travel sites show you everything, which sounds helpful until you are 40 tabs deep and still not sure which property is actually worth your money. We take a different approach. Instead of listing every available option, we narrow it down to the ones that consistently get things right, based on what real guests have to say.

Hotelicopter is a review site for holiday stays. We cover hotels, cottages, lodges and self-catering properties, and every listing on our site has been selected through the same research process. If it is on our list, it has earned its place.

We started Hotelicopter because the same problem keeps coming up. You find a property that looks great in the photos, the description sounds perfect, and then you arrive and it does not match up. The reviews tell one story, the listing tells another, and there is no easy way to tell which one is closer to the truth.

We wanted to build something that cuts through that. A site that does the boring part for you: reading through hundreds of reviews, cross-checking what guests actually say about their stay, and filtering out the properties that rely on polished photos rather than genuine quality.

There are plenty of travel sites out there, but most of them are built around volume. We are built around curation. That is the difference, and it is why people come back to Hotelicopter when they are planning their next trip.

We currently cover lodges with hot tubs across multiple locations, with more areas and stay types being added regularly. Each guide features our top picks with honest mini-reviews, key features, pricing and direct booking links.

We use affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission when you book through our site. This is how we keep Hotelicopter running, but it never influences which properties we feature or where they rank. A property that pays a higher commission does not get a higher position. A property with great reviews does.

We also hold our lists to an ongoing standard. If a property drops in quality, we remove it. If better options come along, we add them. Our guides are not published once and forgotten. They are maintained, revisited and updated so that what you see is always up to date.
