BHM arrivals exit on the lower level
Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport uses the code BHM. All arriving passengers exit the concourse to the lower level.
For travelers who have already chosen a ground transportation mode, authorized Uber and Lyft pickup is at the Arrivals/Lower-Level curbside, while taxi pickup is directly outside baggage claim.
For private pickup, the collecting driver follows Arrivals signs and uses the ground-level access ramp to approach the terminal. The driver remains with the vehicle during passenger pickup. For a prolonged wait, BHM asks the driver to use Hourly parking in the parking deck or the Cell Phone Waiting Lot at 5600 Airline Drive. The lot is free, has no time limit, and requires the driver to remain with the vehicle.
