Kansas hotels you can book at 18
Your ID says you are 18, and that is all a Kansas hotel with a 21-and-over check-in rule needs to turn you away, booking or no booking. Not every hotel in the state works that way, though, and Kansas has 18+ hotels. You do not need to know Kansas to land on the right city, since that part is spelled out below.

Tournaments mean northeast Kansas, arenas mean the big city
A tournament at the Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex or a convention at the Overland Park Convention Center puts you in Overland Park, up in northeast Kansas and the state's second-most populous city after Wichita. For that kind of weekend, you book the Overland Park stay.
Treat Wichita and Overland Park as separate trips. About 185 road miles up I-35 lie between them, with Overland Park at the northeast end, so settle on the city before you start on rooms.
If your ticket is for INTRUST Bank Arena, or the plan is dinner in Old Town, the dining and nightlife district just east of downtown, you are in Wichita, the largest city in Kansas, and you compare Wichita's hotels for 18-year-olds. If you are flying in, the city's own commercial airport is Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport, ICT, and if you are driving, the Kansas Turnpike, U.S. 400, and I-135 are among the highways into the city. The Arkansas and Little Arkansas rivers run through the middle of the city, and the Keeper of the Plains stands on that river ground near the Mid-America All-Indian Museum, so if the landmark is your reason, you stay in Wichita for it too.
