Reno hotels that allow 18-year-olds

By Alexander Backus · Updated August 2026

In Reno a room can look booked at 18 until the front desk says you must be 21. The 18+ hotels below take guests at 18. A Reno stay can carry a Sparks address line, and the two cities adjoin.

The Riverwalk District on the Truckee River in downtown Reno

The Reno Arch spans Virginia Street where it meets Commercial Row downtown, and it reads "The Biggest Little City in the World." The same street continues south out of downtown. The Truckee River runs through downtown, and the Riverwalk District sits along that river frontage.

When your plans center downtown, the river district is the anchor to book near. Among hotels for 18-year-olds in Reno, the Riverwalk area narrows the search to the middle of town.

South Virginia Street runs south toward the Reno-Sparks Convention Center

The Reno-Sparks Convention Center's address is 4590 S Virginia Street, on the road that leaves downtown heading south. The stretch south of downtown is the South Reno side, a short distance from the airport area but a different approach from the southeast side.

Booking on S Virginia Street puts you south of downtown along a single corridor, not next to the terminal. If your event is at the convention center, staying on S Virginia Street keeps you on the same road south of downtown, while airport stays sit in another direction.

Reno-Tahoe International Airport off US-395/I-580 on the southeast side

The airport sits about three miles southeast of downtown, at 2001 E Plumb Lane. E Plumb Lane leads directly into the airport entrance.

An airport stay puts you on the southeast side for a schedule built around the terminal. US-395/I-580 runs north-south past the airport, and I-80 is the east-west route through the Reno-Sparks area.
