Downtown train arrivals and the Highway 99 airport route

The Amtrak station is on Willamette Street just north of 5th Avenue in downtown Eugene. Two trains stop there, Amtrak Cascades and the Coast Starlight.

West 6th Avenue becomes Highway 99 and runs roughly seven road miles to Airport Road. Signs there lead to the terminal. Before planning either arrival, choose a hotel that permits check-in at 18.

Another downtown route to Eugene Airport uses 11th Avenue for about five miles, then Green Hill Road for roughly four more. It reaches the airport without using Highway 99.

EmX is the rapid bus through Eugene and Springfield

Lane Transit District runs EmX through west Eugene, downtown, the University of Oregon, and downtown Springfield. It uses the same fare as neighborhood buses.

Buy the fare before the EmX bus arrives. It cannot be purchased after you board.

Pair Eugene's Park Blocks with the University of Oregon

The Park Blocks are a little over a mile from the University of Oregon campus. That distance lets you include both places in one outing without splitting the trip across Eugene.

Eugene's Park Blocks are one of four primary downtown public spaces. Their roots go back to the city's original town square.
