Fort Wayne hotels with 18+ check-in

By Alexander Backus · Updated August 2026

You booked the room, the app said confirmed, and the desk still turned you away because its minimum check-in age was 21. Fort Wayne runs on hotel-by-hotel rules like that, so brand loyalty buys you nothing here. Every stay here welcomes 18-year-olds, so the only call left is which side of the city fits your trip.

Two ends of I-69, two kinds of stay

The hotels on this page sit off the same west-side run of I-69. The northwest end is Coliseum Boulevard at the interstate, a roadside strip of chains built for drivers. East along that same boulevard sit the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum and Glenbrook Square. The southwest end is the Coventry area off I-69 and US 24, quieter suburban territory about seven miles from downtown, where a car matters more.

So read your own trip first. In town for a show at the Coliseum, stay on the northwest end and you stay on that same boulevard to the doors. Passing through on I-69, the southwest side makes more sense. Downtown is a drive from both. It sits east of the northwest end and farther still from Coventry.

FWA is south, Citilink is slow, and the train skips the city

If you fly in, you land at FWA, about eight miles southwest of downtown, off I-69 at Airport Expressway. No Citilink route reaches the terminal, so plan on a rideshare or a taxi from the airport. In town the buses are often hourly.

  • No passenger train serves Fort Wayne. The nearest Amtrak station is in Waterloo, about 25 miles north, mostly up I-69 then a short run east.
  • Citilink's hub is Central Station downtown. Buses run Monday through Saturday, nothing on Sunday, and Saturday service ends around 6:30 PM.
  • From the airport, the Coventry side is the shorter drive of the two ends.

Campus sits east on Coliseum Boulevard

Purdue University Fort Wayne is at 2101 East Coliseum Boulevard, on the north side of the city. From the northwest end, the drive stays on that same boulevard. The Ivy Tech Coliseum Campus sits nearby on North Anthony Boulevard.

From Coventry, getting to Purdue Fort Wayne is a full cross-town trip, so plan around it if that is why you came.

No hostel beds on Coliseum Boulevard or in Coventry

Fort Wayne has no hostel scene and no dorm beds renting by the night, so the hotels on this page are already the cheap end of the market.

If a rate looks high, check different dates before checking different parts of town.
