18+ hotels in Springfield, Missouri

Restaurants, boutique shops and local attractions are within walking distance of hotels in downtown Springfield. For a stay built around eating out and exploring shops on foot, a downtown room is worth considering.

A downtown room can suit a visit spent browsing record stores, local specialty shops and art galleries between meals. Theater performances take place downtown as well, so a room there lets you stay in the same district.

For Student Orientation, Advisement and Registration (SOAR), wait for Missouri State University's session confirmation email before booking a hotel. A hotel reservation made earlier won't get you into a closed session.

The student room arrangements depend on the session:

• Students attending a two-day June or July session must spend the first night on campus, even if they live nearby or won't live on campus in their first semester. A hotel room cannot replace that required night.
• One-day sessions for the fall, spring and summer semesters do not include student campus accommodation. Students with a signed housing contract may be able to move into their residence hall one or two days early for a fee. Arrange this with Residence Life at least five days before arrival. This option excludes two-day SOAR attendees and students returning from a previous semester.

If you're traveling a long distance and need somewhere to sleep the night before SOAR, you can request hall housing by emailing newbears@missouristate.edu. Wait for a response confirming a room before counting that night as covered.

Family members can request limited campus housing for the first session night at $25 per family member. They stay in separate rooms from the students, and the arrangement covers only that first night. For a longer trip, an 18+ hotel can cover nights outside a confirmed campus arrangement.
