Uptown for walking, Northlake for highway access
Uptown brings places to stay, restaurants, shops and entertainment into a walkable district. It's a setting to look for when you want to spend part of your Columbus visit on foot, with food and things to do in the same district as your room.
Access to Interstate 185 is a reason to look for a room in Northlake, north of Uptown. That district has lodging, shopping and dining, giving you another setting to consider if highway access is a priority for your stay.
METRA buses don't run on Sundays
A Saturday arrival by city bus needs a separate departure plan if you're checking out on Sunday. METRA runs its fixed-route buses Monday through Saturday, so the same service won't be there for that Sunday trip. Include that gap in your plans before booking a weekend without a car.
On operating days, individual routes have different schedules. Use METRA's bus schedules to plan the trips you'll need during your stay. Start with the hotel's street address and your destination, then check the travel day and the times you need to leave and arrive for both the trip out and the trip back.
