El Paso hotels for 18-year-olds

The room is paid for, the confirmation email is in your inbox, and then the front desk says check-in starts at 21. That is how an El Paso trip at 18 goes wrong. The hotels below are stays where 18-year-olds can check in, so your ID is a formality, not a gamble.

Montana Avenue runs east from downtown past the airport

Downtown holds the convention center, the performing arts centers, City Hall, and the Museum District in one central cluster. El Paso International Airport sits 6 miles east of downtown, with shops and restaurants near the terminal. Montana Avenue, signed as US 62/180, is the corridor between downtown and the airport, and it keeps going east.

The airport is between downtown and the far-east hotel areas, so a far-east address is past the airport, not beside the terminal. This is a short list of El Paso stays where you can check in at 18, so match the hotel's address to the part of town your trip points at.

Sun Metro buses 33 and 208 serve the airport terminal

Sun Metro is El Paso's city bus operator, and the airport has local bus service, so an arrival without a car can start on a city bus. Whether the ride is direct depends on where the room sits.

  • Routes 33 and 208 pick up outside the terminal, so the airport area is the easy case.
  • Route 33 runs daily between the Five Points Transit Center and the airport.
  • Routes 50 and 59 connect at the Eastside Terminal, the transfer point for east-side connections, so a stay on the east side means a ride through that terminal.
