I-35 is an interstate highway, and its plain, unsuffixed stretch serves San Antonio and Austin. Then the number splits: I-35W runs through Fort Worth, I-35E runs through Dallas, and Arlington sits between the two branches. That last letter is not trivia. Choose the wrong one and your hotel search lands in the other branch's city, so the list you wanted is not the one you get.
The rest of the list sits on two more interstates. I-10 runs east across Texas through El Paso, San Antonio, and Houston, and it meets I-35 right there in San Antonio. I-45 lies entirely inside Texas and gives Houston its own direct link to Dallas. Find the road your trip actually uses, and the city it points to has hotels for 18-year-olds.
Car-free in North Texas depends on the city line
A stay between Dallas and Fort Worth sounds like it should plug into the big city's transit. It depends on the address. DART, the Dallas area's transit agency, lists Dallas in its service area, so a Dallas address sits inside it. Arlington is not on that list. An Arlington address runs on Arlington On-Demand, the city's on-demand ride service, which has no fixed schedules or fixed routes and connects to the TRE commuter rail line instead.
Some hotels carry "Dallas Arlington" in their names while their street addresses are in Arlington, so a Dallas-named stay booked for car-free transit access can land outside DART's service area. An Arlington stay is not a worse booking; it just comes with different transit, so if you are skipping the car, book the city that has the service you want.
